Kingdom Pathways was founded by Joseph, a retired veteran who served in Iraq. Upon returning home, Joe was struck by the deteriorating condition of the coastline, which he saw as a war zone with burnt derelict cars. This realization ignited a drive in him to understand and address the root causes of the problems affecting his community.
Seeing the coastline riddled with homelessness and the beaches and parks in disrepair, Joe decided to take action. He began by asking questions and seeking solutions, driven by a desire to restore and revitalize the area. Kingdom Pathways was born out of this mission to bridge the gaps in understanding community needs and championing their correction.
Working closely with state and county departments, as well as elected officials, Joe and his ohana at Kingdom Pathways advocated for funding and work orders to tackle these issues.
In addition to their work on public spaces, Kingdom Pathways emphasizes the importance of preserving natural resources, ensuring clean water, promoting sustainable hunting practices, and enhancing food sustainability. By fostering community engagement and collaboration, Kingdom Pathways aims to protect and sustain the environment while supporting the well-being and resilience of the community. Through persistent efforts and community collaboration, Kingdom Pathways has become a beacon of hope and restoration, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
We are dedicated to restoring enviromental health, promoting social equity, and perserving our cultural heritage. By embracing the wisdom of our Kupuna (ancestors) and leveraging the energy of our kaiāulu (community), we aim to foster a resilent and vibrant Hawai’i for future generations.
