ALA 'ĀINA

Ala ʻĀina — Restoring Relationship to Land

Revitalizing ecosystems, food systems, and ʻike kūpuna through hands-on, ʻāina-based learning.

At Kingdom Pathways, we live the principle of Hoʻoulu ʻĀina  to grow the land and to grow because of the land. We mālama ʻāina knowing that its health shapes our own, strengthening community, culture, and future generations.

HO'OULU LĀHUI FORESTY

Roots to Resilience: Wai'anae's Journey to Sustainability

Grow ʻUlu, Grow Kaiāulu

What an incredible day at Princess Kahanu Estates! With the hands, hearts, and aloha of our kaiāulu, we planted legacy ʻulu trees that will nourish, shade, and sustain future generations. This is more than planting trees  it’s planting a future of food security, resilience, and aloha ʻāina. Mahalo to everyone who showed up, shared mana, and made this day possible.

Ka Huakaʻi ‘Imi ‘Ike (a journey to see and learn).

Mahalo to Nā Kama Kai and Mālama Learning Center for allowing Kingdom Pathways to showcase the work we do with our partners across Waiʻanae our backyard, our kuleana.

Be the blueprint your bloodline needed. That’s how we shape our goals and build solutions something we hope these keiki felt, walking the pathways we’re paving for them as future ancestors. E Ola Wai’anae!

Native Tree Planting & Cleanup at Pōkaʻī Bay

Our Hui had an amazing day at Pōkaʻī Bay Beach Park! Mahalo to Pōki’i Magallanes for opening with a blessing and sharing mana‘o about the kūkolu moon, perfect for planting. Together, we planted 8 native shade and nut trees kou, milo, and kukui through the C&C Community Forestry Program and Rooting Resilience, and added naupaka to help stop runoff and keep plastics out of the ocean.

Big thanks to our partners Surfrider Foundation O'ahu, Blue Water Task Force and the Waiʻanae Water Testing Lab for watching over our water quality, and to the Hawai‘i Bicycle League  for teaching keiki and mākua how to fix flats.
