Roots to Resilience: Wai'anae's Journey to Sustainability

Forestry Consultant

We are seeking a Forestry Specialist to support the Ho‘oulu Lāhui Project, a community-driven initiative focused on native forest restoration and sustainable land management in Wai‘anae. This role will involve planting and maintaining native trees, restoring critical habitats, managing invasive species, and developing long-term conservation strategies. The Forestry Specialist will also lead educational workshops and community engagement efforts to ensure lasting environmental impact.


 Qualifications:
Background in Forestry, Environmental Science, or Conservation
Experience in native plant restoration and ecosystem management
Strong fieldwork, project management, and community engagement skills

Workshop Coordinator

We are seeking a Workshop Coordinator to lead community-based educational programs that support the Ho‘oulu Lāhui Project. This role focuses on planning and facilitating hands-on workshops related to native plant restoration, conservation, and sustainable land management. The coordinator will work closely with community members, schools, and partner organizations to share knowledge, foster engagement, and inspire action in environmental stewardship.


Qualifications:
Experience in education, environmental, community outreach
Knowledge of native Hawaiian plants, forestry, or conservation

Strong event planning and facilitation skills
